Jenell Beardsley graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Management and Marketing from University of Phoenix. Jenell had dreamed of furthering her career and climbing the corporate ladder at the communications company she works for, but knew it would be nearly impossible without a degree. When a colleague recommended the online program, Jenell knew it was her ticket for advancement. Since graduating in 2006, Jenell feels empowered to advance her career and seek manager-level positions within her company. She nominated her husband in hope of offering him the same opportunity.

Chad Beardsley

After years of being a devoted stay-at-home father to two young boys, Chad Beardsley is being rewarded with a gift he was not able to give himself… a college education. Chad was nominated by his wife to receive his entire college education paid for, thanks to the scholarship. After unsuccessful attempts at earning a degree, Chad realized the traditional route was not the best option for him. Being able to continue raising his boys while completing classes online is the ideal situation for both Chad and his family. Chad hopes that upon completion of his degree, he will be able to return to the workforce and provide this now single-income family with the opportunity to build a better future for their children and the community in which they live.
